What Are Legalised Translations?

What is an Apostille?

An Apostille is a certificate issued by the FCO that will authenticate the use of your document in another country. This is an official government issued certificate, which is attached at the back page of your documents. It will allow your documents to be recognised when you present them in your chosen country. Apostilles will include the country of issue, who has signed it, the capacity in which the person signed the document, details of any seal on the document, place of issue, date of issue, issuing authority, the certificate number stamp of issuing authority and the signature of the representative of the issuing authority.

Sworn translation is vital in some countries, like Poland or Spain. It has become a very important part of international trade, migration, and tourism. Translations become ‘sworn’ when they are translated by sworn translators. These are translators that have taken an oath before a court, so that their translations are accepted as a faithful version of the original, including any legal requirements.
